The Most Sacred Week of the year has arrived. I am so grateful to God for all his graces and blessings that the faithful can attend the Liturgy during Holy Week!
If you are planning to attend the Liturgies during Holy Week, including the Sacred Triduum and Easter Masses, please come early. I would suggest earlier than usual. In the event of an over flow we may have to close the doors of the Church. We will not be distributing tickets for the Liturgies.
I encourage you to receive the two greatest gifts you could receive from Jesus as we approach Easter Sunday, which is to make a good confession and to receive Holy Communion. There is ample time available for you to make a good confession during this week. The most convenient day would be Reconciliation Monday, March 29th. On this day, confessions will be available from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at all parishes throughout the Diocese.
Reconciliation Monday is one of my favorite days of the year. I remember so well last year, that due to pandemic out of safety, this was not offered to the faithful. Because this wonderful day was taken away from me, I decided to do something good for myself, so I got a new friend that day, Francis, my Holy Week puppy.
The entire Liturgies of the Sacred Triduum and the 12:00 PM Easter Sunday Mass will be livestreamed. Please know that I will be praying for all of you during the Easter Triduum and the Easter Masses.
In Jesus and Mary,
Fr. Jeff Yildirmaz
