We are now approaching the last weeks of Lent called Passiontide.
Fortunately, during this Passiontide we will have 40 Hours of
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The 40 Hours will take place on
March 24th, 25th, 29th, 30th and 31st from 12:00 PM to 8:00
PM. This devotion was offered during last Advent leading up to
Christmas Eve. The 40 Hours for Lent will end on Spy Wednesday
the day before Holy Thursday.

During Monday of Holy Week, confessions will be heard from 3:00
PM to 9:00 PM. I am greatly looking forward to Monday of Holy
Week also known as Reconciliation Monday. I am sure many
conversions and confessions will take place during this day. All
churches in the diocese will have confessions at the same time and
on this day.

If you were not able to go to confession during this Lent, nor spend
much time in prayer with Jesus, this is the day to do it! Even if it is
for just for a few minutes, it is time well spent. On Reconciliation
Monday, there will be adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from
12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

My favorite Pope, St. John Paul II said, “In that Host is the solution to
all the problems of the world.” This great saint also said about
adoration: “This is an invitation from Jesus. Jesus waits for us in this
sacrament of love.” Jesus is waiting for us in the Blessed
Sacrament. May we accept his invitation to be with him.
